TRES SETMANES DE MÚSIQUES SUGGESTIVES I CONCERTS FORMIDABLES
Diverses línies temàtiques travessaven el LEM 2013: L’homenatge al músic i compositor, prematurament desaparegut, Joan Saura; la commemoració del centenari de la publicació de L’ Arte dei Rumori, de Luigi Russolo; l’atenció minuciosa a l’escena experimental local; la indagació dels relacionis entre música i gastronomia; la improvisació; l’atenció als sons industrials d’ara mateix i la constatació que hi ha llegendes molt vives que poden posar-nos la pell de gallina. La imatge del festival, realitzada aquest any per Marc O’Callaghan, suggeria la varietat i l’energia dels continguts.
Demolidors van ser els concerts de Putan Club, Tiger Menja Zebra i Cut Hands. Exploratoris els de Setsfree, Aceite de Perro i Sei Miguel Unit Core. Altaba / Egea / Madau van cercar la bellesa i ho van aconseguir. Una altra cerca van realitzar Coàgul i Puce Mary, que van domar el soroll amb la paraula. Uns altres, com Entre Vifs, C-Utter, Candor Chasma i Zoviet France el van deixar en llibertat i van cavalcar sobre ell. Annette Krebs i Wenceslau Guarro van projectar el soroll en l’arquitectura de l’Església de Santa Maria, desmaterialitzant-lo i tornant-lo eteri. L’impressionant concert de Charles Hayward va confirmar que aquest era un LEM de bateristes genials (com vam veure a l’especialíssim concert de Perucho’s o el dels minuciosos Radian). També va haver-hi espai per als descobriments, com l’excitant nou projecte dels veterans Nuno Rebel·lo i Anna Subirana, la suggeridora proposta dels emergents Turing Tarpit i les primeres passes de Macrobukkake. Així fins a 25 concerts, i una mica més que concerts, perquè les experiències àudio-olfactivo-gustatives de Vinfonies i Àgape van dotar al LEM de sinestèsia i en el Museu Marítim, amb Berta Puigdemasa, vam assistir a un increïble concert d’arpa i tempesta per a arquitectura gòtica industrial. Així d’intens ha estat el LEM 2013.
L’equip de Gràcia Territori Sonor vol oferir l’èxit d’aquesta edició als artistes, als espais que ens han acollit, a tots aquells que col·laboren en aquest projecte i a aquells que ens han prestat la seva ajuda voluntària, i sobre tot al públic que fidelment ens ha recolzat dia rere dia. Sense ells, el LEM no hagués estat possible.

TRES SEMANAS DE MÚSIQUES SUGESTIVAS Y CONCIERTOS FORMIDABLES
Varias líneas temáticas atravesaban el LEM 2013: El homenaje al músico y compositor, prematuramente desaparecido, Joan Saura; la conmemoración del centenario de la publicación de L’Arte dei Rumori, de Luigi Russolo; la atención minuciosa a la escena experimental local; la indagación de les relaciones entre música y gastronomía; la improvisación; la atención a los sonidos industriales de ahora mismo y la constatación de que hay leyendas muy vivas que pueden ponernos la piel de gallina. La imagen del festival, realizada este año por Marc O’Callaghan, sugería la variedad y la energía de los contenidos.
Demoledores fueron los conciertos de Putan Club, Tiger Menja Zebra y Cut Hands. Exploratorios los de Setsfree, Aceite de Perro y Sei Miguel Unit Core. Altaba / Egea / Madau fueron en pos de la belleza y lo lograron. Otra búsqueda realizaron Coàgul y Puce Mary, que domaron el ruido con la palabra. Otros, como Entre Vifs, C-Utter, Candor Chasma y Zoviet France lo dejaron libre y cabalgaron sobre él. Annette Krebs y Wenceslau Guarro proyectaron el ruido en la arquitectura de la Iglesia de Santa Maria, desmaterializándolo y volviéndolo etéreo. El impresionante concierto de Charles Hayward confirmó que éste era un LEM de bateristas geniales (ahí estuvieron el especialísimo concierto de Peruch’os o el de los minuciosos Radian para confirmarlo). También hubo espacio para los descubrimientos, como el excitante nuevo proyecto de los veteranos Nuno Rebelo i Anna Subirana, la sugerente propuesta de los emergentes Turing Tarpit.¡ y los primeros pasos de Macrobukkake. Así hasta 25 conciertos, y algo más que conciertos, porque las experiencias audio-olfativo-gustativas de Vinfonies y Àgape dotaron al LEM de sinestesia y en el Museo Marítimo, con Berta Puigdemasa, asistimos a un increíble concierto de arpa y tormenta para arquitectura gótica industrial. Así de intenso ha sido el LEM 2013.
El equipo de Gràcia Territori Sonor quiere ofrecer el éxito de esta edición a los artistas, a los espacios que nos han acogido, a todos aquellos que colaboran en este proyecto y a los que nos han prestado su ayuda voluntaria y sobre todo al público que fielmente nos ha apoyado día tras día. Sin ellos, el LEM no hubiera sido posible.

THREE WEEKS OF SUGGESTIVE MUSIC AND FANTASTIC CONCERTS
Various themes marked this edition of LEM 2013: the homage Joan Saura musician and composer prematurely lost; the commemoration of the centenary of the publication of Luigi Russolo’s Arte dei Rumori; the close attention to the local experimental scene; the investigation of the relationship between music and gastronomy; improvisation; the attention to today’s industrial music and the proof that there are legends which are very much alive and can leave us with goosebumps. This year’s image of the festival, designed by Marc O’Callaghan suggested the variety and energy of it’s contents.
Putan Club, Tiger Menja Zebra and Cut Hands were devastating. Setsfree, Aceite de Perro and Sei Miguel Unit Core were exploratory. Altaba / Egea / Madau sought beauty and attained it. Coàgul and Puce Mary, sought to dominate noise with their words. Others such as Entre Vifs, C-Utter, Candor Chasma and Zoviet France let it run free and rode upon it. Annette Krebs and Wenceslau Guarro projected noise on the architecture of the Santa Maria church, de-materialising it and making it ethereal. Charles Hayward’s impressive concert confirmed that this year was a year of incredible drummers (as we saw in Perucho’s extra special concert or with the meticulous Radian). There was also a space for discovery, such as the exciting new project of veterans Nuno Rebel·lo and Anna Subirana, the suggestive proposal of the emerging Turing Tarpit or Macrobukkake‘s first steps. And all this through 25 concerts, and beyond concerts as the audio-olfactory-gustatory experiences of Vinfonies and Àgape provided LEM with synaesthesia and we were also treated to a harp and storm concert for industrial gothic arquitecture at the Maritime Museum courtesy of Berta Puigdemasa. That is just how intense LEM 2013 has been.
Gràcia Territori Sonor’s team would like to award the success of this edition to the artists, the venues that received us and all those that collaborate on this project and that have helped us voluntarily, and especially the public, which has supported us faithfully day after day.
